There are many books and other material available that could be of interest to people interested in Grayson County history, heritage, and genealogy.
- Twin Commonwealth Publishers is operated by Jeff Weaver and Randell Osborne. This catalog has a number of books pertaining to The American Revolution, The American Civil War, and many other aspects of military life in the United States. We also are offering a number of historical texts focusing on Virginia, Kentucky (the twin commonwealths), Maryland and the Carolinas.
- Laura Moncrief has published a book on the Delph family of Grayson County. Delph: Some Descendants of Peter Delph of Grayson County, Virginia (1751-1837) is a result of over 30 years of personal research on Peter Delph and his wife Eve Richbaker/Richenbaker and their 12 children. This book covers many of their descendants including 5 generations of their son Daniel Delph (1775-1860) of Hawkins County, Tennessee. Also included are several generations of allied families: Jacob Castle (ca. 1717-1780s) of Orange and Augusta Counties, Virginia; Reuben Debord (1758-1840s) of Washington County, Virginia; Zachariah Salyer (ca. 1730-1789) of North Carolina and Russell County, Virginia; Josiah Tignor (ca. 1772-1850s) of King William, Grayson and Russell Counties, Virginia; and Moses Wells (ca. 1750-1836) of Wythe and Smyth Counties, Virginia. There are 90 pages of documents and photographs and a complete name index.
